Microsoft Excel is one of the most versatile in the Microsoft Office suite. If you are self taught and have not had basic training in Excel may not be aware of the many shortcuts available within the application. This article provides some tips and highlight some of the many useful keyboard shortcuts for even faster and easier to use.
Tips
Here are some simple tips to make it easier to use Excel:
Copy the contents of the Word
When copying the contents of a Word document or a Web page in Excel and you want the content that has the same format that is already in the spreadsheet, then double click the cell before pasting in the content.
Change rows into columns
To change rows into columns, or vice versa, the following steps:
Select the row or column you want to change
Press CTRL + C to copy or CTRL + X to cut
Position the cursor in the top cell in which you want to transfer content
PasteSpecial select the Edit menu and select transposition.
calculations, without entering formulas
AutoCalculate tool in Excel will give you the results of some basic functions without having to spend time to enter formulas. If you highlight a group of figures from the sum of these figures will appear towards the bottom right corner of the screen. Click on the amount you can choose to display many other basic functions. The list of available functions COUNTNUMS average, count, Max, Min and Sum.
Line breaks within a single cell
When you enter the text many times, for example, an address within a single cell that you want to be able to control the line breaks in this text. Press Enter at the end of one line only takes you to the next cell down and adjust the text in combination with the space bar takes a long time and must be corrected by adjusting the width of the cell. The easiest way to achieve this by writing the first line of text, and then press ALT + ENTER. This will lead to a very fine line at that time without taking you to the next cell.
